Corsica-Marseilles-Toulon to Barcelona leg
Salut! Je m'appelle Emily. I'm in my 30s, originally from the northeast coast of the US but now based in Barcelona and enamored with the European lifestyle.
I will be on le Cap Corse from the 6-13 of Sept and thought it would be fun to sail home to Barcelona either from Corsica (Bastia probably the most convenient Corsican port) or one of the big ports off the coast of mainland France, Toulon or Marseilles. If the timing works out, I'm hoping to sail home to Barcelona in mid-September — around the 14th–15th, but I'm flexible anywhere in the 13th–17th. I have a fallback ride home already (a friend with a van on the ferry), so I'm relaxed about timing. I'd much rather wait for a clean weather window than push you to leave on a specific date.
On a boat: I won't oversell myself- I'm not hugely experienced, but I know the basics. I learned in a little Sunfish as well as various stints sailing on the Charles River in Boston (notoriously gusty, shifty winds), plus some bigger-boat experience offshore. Enought to know I love it, I'm calm and comfortable at sea, I've got a strong stomach, and I want to do more of it. I am a faster learner and enthusiastic to do so, and am prepared to be crew and not a passenger. I'll stand my watch day or night; I'll cook, clean, and share onboard costs.
By day I'm a biomedical engineer, but love everything having to do with the outdoors. If we click, I'd love to do more sailing down the line- for now I'm just after a good crossing home.

I wrote in English as I am most comfortable in it but I also now speak Spanish. I can understand some French too, I learned in school, but now whenever I open my mouth to speak it Spanish comes out.. 😅 I’m sure with more exposure it would come back though.
