NZ to Australia or Asia - student ecotravel project

Hi!

We're two french students, Tanguy and Dune, on a gap year. Our plan is to return to France from New Zealand, where we did an internship, without taking a plane : sailing, hitchhiking … On our journey, we'd like to meet people who are involved in ecological and social impactful projects, and produce reports on their work: vegan chefs, researchers, associations, low tech, etc. We hope that these reports will be a source of questions and inspiration to help people (and us!) discover the paths/voices of commitment.

We are therefore looking for an embarkation to leave New Zealand and reach Australia or Asia (preference for Indonesia or Singapore). We would like to leave NZ at the end of september or in october. But we are flexible ! Here are our profiles:

Tanguy is from Biarritz, he has his sea rescue diploma, likes surfing, mechanics and DIY. He is very interested in photography and more generally in audio-visual art.
Dune is from Bordeaux, she is always super positive, sociable. She loves listening to music, learning new things, and is super committed! She is also a pro at trying out new dishes.
We are both vegetarians and really like to cook we could be the chefs on board!

We have very little sailing knowledge (few days In Guadeloupe on sailing boats) but are super motivated to learn!
